I have known Rob Botterell personally for 47 years since we were students together at the University of British Columbia. Rob was studying Political Science and I was just starting graduate work in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Although we were interested in different fields of science we quickly became very good friends. I have kept in close touch with him since those early days and so I am very familiar with his abilities and strengths. He is one of the most energetic, positive and confident people that I know. He brings a contagious enthusiasm towards any project he feels deeply committed about. His previous professional experience and accomplishments have prepared him well for this next stage of his career. He is well suited to run as an MLA for the Green Party given his high level of integrity and guiding principles by which he lives. Throughout his law career Rob has demonstrated a passion for the environment and commitment to the greater good. He is extremely intelligent and has a broad range of experience dealing with the inner workings of government. Furthermore, he is also a gifted communicator with outstanding personal skills. I am confident Rob will work tirelessly on behalf of all British Columbians. He will push hard to implement policies that will improve our lives and those of future generations. I fully support his run for election as an MLA with the Green Party.
